Happy Monday Babes!

______________

Sara + Liv here again, and today we are recapping charming little Charleston, South Carolina! If you follow us on any social media, you are probably well aware that we recently went to Charleston for a creative minds conference. We got to network with ladies from all over this country and discuss how to help each other grow our creative businesses! Keep on reading for never before seen photos of our getaway!

Our fave parts of Charleston was exploring downtown (aka FOOD). We are total foodies and we definitely ate our way through this town. Starting with Callies Hot Little Biscuit (I linked it here because you can buy their biscuit mix for yourself!) and we didn’t stop eating until we left the Charleston airport. Airport Chinese food may not have been our best idea, but you only live once, right? After stopping for a bite to eat, we headed off to Middleton Plantation. I can't even describe the beauty and history that filled the paths of this plantation. It was as if we waltzed right into another time and we spent HOURS strolling and enjoying the grounds at Middleton with our best gals, Ashley K. and Ashley B. We also can’t forget all the charming homes and small businesses housed in pastel buildings lining every single street. Endless photo ops! While in Charleston we all stayed in a beautiful home right on the beach, the flamingo lights there were actually the cutest. One of the most memorable trips evah!

We ended up befriending many sweet gals while there. We met photographers, florists, event planners, calligraphers, and bloggers. It is so important to put yourself out there even in your own community! We fiercely live by the mantra “community over competition” and we firmly believe that if we help each other succeed then everyone benefits.

I think our main takeaway from this short getaway was to never stop continuing your education. It was so refreshing to hear others’ experiences and apply that to our visions. Learning about creative ways to do things in our own business by listening to the perspective of others has helped tremendously.

Have you babes ever been to Charleston? What did you do? We will definitely be going back and we need a Charleston bucket list!

Have A Merry Little Monday!

Sara + Liv
